Whitney Houston celebrated her triumphant return to music
Promoting her new album I Look to You, Whitney Houston celebrated her triumphant return to
music and the public stage with a performance that rocked the audience on Good Morning
America.
"I love you," she told the crowd of 4,000 as her band, which included a string section and
numerous backing singers, started with "Million Dollar Bill" at Tuesday's show in Central
Park. Much of the performance was broadcast Wednesday on "GMA" shortly after 8 a.m.
"I Look to You," the new album's title track, came next. Houston dedicated that one to her
mom, Cissy, God above and the crowd in front of her. Houston's version of Chaka Khan's "I'm
Every Woman" closed the mini-concert with "GMA" hosts Diane Sawyer and Robin Roberts singing
and bouncing behind her.
